CHEFS & COOKS

Our experienced chefs and cooks have diverse backgrounds within various kitchens facilitating their strong understanding and knowledge of kitchen management and food preparation.

Our executive chefs are able to work within dynamic teams and are capable of carrying out numerous tasks and delivering large quantities of orders under extreme pressure. Their skills go beyond the kitchen as each of our chefs have experience in designing menus to specific restrictions and catering requirements suitable for aged care, community centres, private homes and other industry kitchens; experience in, and the ability to, review food and beverage purchases; and extensive experience in staff training.

Below are the minimum requirements of our chefs and cooks:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery,
  • Relevant experience within the hospitality industry,
  • Experience in large volume catering or bulk cooking,
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills,
  • The right to work in Australia,
  • Demonstrated experience at a minimum of six months,
  • A current valid driver’s license,
  • Two validated reference checks,
  • A satisfactory National Police Records check,
  • Statuary Declaration,
  • A successful health assessment in physical and mental health fitness,
  • A working with children check where applicable,
  • Have a greater understanding of the complex needs of aged people and those living with a disability, and
  • Experience working in the community to provide home-based care programs.

KITCHEN HAND AND FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANTS

Our kitchen hands assist line cooks by completing food preparation tasks; including organising the refrigerator and freezer and chopping vegetables.

Further tasks include washing fruit, defrosting meat, sanitation control and kitchen equipment maintenance, and preparing sauces and marinades. They may fully prepare dishes that require little to no cooking, such as salads, and support the kitchen’s daily operations.

Below are the minimum requirements of our kitchen hands and food service assistants:

  • Certificate II in Hospitality,
  • Relevant experience in the hospitality industry,
  • The right to work in Australia,
  • Demonstrated experience at a minimum of six months,
  • A current valid driver’s license,
  • Two validated reference checks,
  • A satisfactory National Police Records check,
  • Statuary Declaration,
  • A successful health assessment in physical and mental health fitness,
  • A working with children check where applicable, and
  • Have a greater understanding of the complex needs of aged people and those living with a disability.

DOMESTIC CLEANERS

Our domestic cleaners may provide cleaning services for a range of residential clients, such as the elderly or individuals living with a disability and perform a variety of services to the aged care sector.

They also provide cleaning for disability services, offices, homes and community centres.

The specific cleaning tasks they undertake depend on their clients’ needs and requirements. Daily tasks include vacuuming; dusting; sweeping; mopping; emptying bins; sanitising bathrooms, laundries and kitchens; and maintaining cleanliness in other areas of the household as requested by their client.

Below are the minimum requirements of our domestic cleaners:

  • Relevant experience in domestic cleaning,
  • The right to work in Australia,
  • Demonstrated experience at a minimum of six months,
  • A current valid driver’s license,
  • Two validated reference checks,
  • A satisfactory National Police Records check,

  • A successful health assessment in physical and mental health fitness,
  • A working with children check where applicable, and
